A Little Catching Up

So weekend always throw me off, no matter what.Once I get out of my routine I forget what I'm doing! So I'm posting three days in one!

Day 6 was the Photograph Somebody I love. I chose to photograph my Memaw. It seems like the older I get the more I learn about her and the funnier she is. This woman cracks her up and she loves her family more than anything. She is truly special!

Day 7 Challenged me to take a photo of somebody I don't know. This was hard for me. I'm not super social but this sweet girl at office depot let me take her photo!

Day 8 Challenged me to take a photo of books. I chose these 3 books for a reason. "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, "The Rescuer" by Dee Henderson, and "Kisses from Katie" by Katie Davis. Must reads!!

30 Day Challenge- Day 5

Thank Goodness its Friday! Am I right?! It was a long week. Today was great though! As of today Richard and I are Homeowners! It's still pretty hard to believe!

Anyways, today's challenge was to take a photo of something that I wore today. Well, I couldn't take a picture of the shirt I wore because I dropped barbecue sauce all over it when we were eating dinner, and I didn't see the point in photographing my blue jeans, so I took a picture of my favorite necklace!I wear this most days. Richard got it for me the second Christmas we were together when we were dating and I have worn it more days than I haven't. It's a reminder of my sweet husband throughout the day and also a symbol of my love and devotion for my Savior.

Have a great weekend!

30 Day Challenge- Day 3

Day 3 of my 30 Day Challenge was to photograph something I'm thankful for. Well the best thing I could think of this evening is how thankful I am for my husband. There are so many reasons why and I will list a few.

This guy is so patient and gentle. I'm what some people might label as "crazy" or a little "nutty" or just plain "insane" sometimes. Yet, he looks at me and smiles and takes no offense to my random tangents or fits.

For example, I was having a rough time this morning. I was tired, my head hurt, I didn't want to go to work, and I didn't feel like any of my clothes were fitting right. I finally got myself ready and as I was looking in the mirror for one last check before I walked out the door I noticed I had dripped tooth paste on my shirt when I brushed my teeth. I was already cranky and irritable so I threw myself a little fit and let out a really loud angry grunt/squeal (one that a 3 year old would let out when she gets angry). Richard didn't think anything of it. Instead of getting upset and telling me how immature I was being, he laughed at me and acknowledged that I was having a hard time.

There's also times when I'm cranky (that seems to happen a lot) and I raise my voice at him or I'm just not nice, and he never retaliates. He is always so patient with me and treats me with respect and dignity.

He constantly reminds me why I'm living and to always do the right thing.

He has such a huge heart and loves others the way Christ loves the church.

The list could go on and on and on, so I won't bore you with the million and a half things I love about my husband. But I do want you to know how thankful I am for him. I'm thankful that he loves me and treats me with respect. I'm thankful that he can make me laugh and knows how to respond when I'm having a hard time. I'm thankful God blessed me with a man who encourages me and empowers me to be the woman God has called me to be.

30 Day Challenge- Day 2

Hello!

I hope you had a Terrific Tuesday! I went to the gym today and participated in the "Body Flo" class. It's a combination of yoga, Pilates and tai chi, all rolled into one. If you know anything about me, you will know that I'm super out of shape. I was super nervous and thought the class was going to be hard but it was so easy! Yes, it worked my body but it wasn't cardio that made me feel nauseous and dizzy. It stretched my body and made me feel awesome! I recommend Les Mills classes to anyone who loves doing group workout classes...

Today is Day 2 of my 30 Day creativity challenge. Today's challenge was to take a self portrait. This was my very first time doing a self portrait so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm super excited to see what everyone thinks about how it turned out.
